WHAT IS ONWARD?

ONWARD is a new KCC convention. It's purpose is to directly address some of the pressing cultural issues facing Christians today.  We are starting by examining how Christians confront 'Tolerance' in light of absolute truth and our need to bear witness to Jesus Christ.

ONWARD speakers will deliver both Topical and Expository talks.

HOW DO YOU FIND YOUR VOICE IN A WORLD THAT’S READY TO SHOUT YOU DOWN?

ONWARD will help you:

  • LISTEN – and understand the other person’s point of view
  • ASK THE RIGHT QUESTIONS – to challenge their point of view
  • INTRODUCE THE BIBLE’S VIEW – why it makes sense and is true

ONWARD will give you:

  • CONFIDENCE that God’s truth is up to the challenge
  • FOUNDATIONS to handle the pushback
  • COURAGE to engage with people on the hard issues

... evangelical Christianity says, ‘You’re not okay... You have to believe it or you’re lost.’
That makes it a message that always sparks conflict.
After all, Jesus bothered people everywhere He went.

- Randy Newman - Questioning Evangelism

HOW DO WE KNOW WHAT TRUTH IS?

Do we live in an era when one person's truth is just another's post truth? Is that even true? David Robertson examines ‘post-truth’, the Oxford English Dictionary's Word of the Year for 2016.

David Robertson is one of the keynote speakers at ONWARD this year.
